Get back into the game life

We are constantly being distracted in this modern world. You only need be the slightest bit conscious to realize that our attention and focus is being hijacked by algorithms that seem beyond our control.


If you were to monitor the time spent on social media you would be amazed at the amount of time that is stolen from your day. Studies suggest that the average American spends around 2.5 hours a day on social media. However, pay attention to your own habits and you might be surprised to find that the actual number of hours spent on social media and surfing the internet is much higher.


Over the past ten years obesity figures have risen significantly from 21% in 2003 to 30% in 2022. Contributing factors include the greater dependance on high-calorie processed foods and the Covid pandemic. I believe the real culprit is time spent on social media.

Begin to become aware of the time spent on social media apps. Start to monitor the hours spent watching targeted content that only reinforces our current belief system or hypnotizes us into thinking we need to buy more needless products.

Let's get outside and walk more. Schedule a coffee date with a friend. Pick up the book. Rediscover the joy of the hobby you started years ago. Make the phone call. Get to the gym. If you need to shop, go to the store. Interact with people. Now is the time to break the internet habit and rediscover the joy of living in the actual world as opposed to the virtual world.
